Published by Collective, Edinburgh, in 2017 Towards a City Observatory: Constellations of art, collaboration and locality, was the result of the Collective inviting contemporary artists, writers and thinkers to imagine a new kind of observatory, which might bring people together different forms of practice.

The publication features essays by Charles Esche, Emma Hedditch and Simon Sheikh and documentation of artworks by Karen Cunningham, Joanne Tatham & Tom O'Sullivan and Chris Evans.
